About the Role

Development Process Lead Architect (Contract)

We are looking for a Development Process Lead Architect to join a leading consultancy operating within Defence. This role is pivotal in providing expert guidance to ensure IT service development and implementation processes to adhere to established standards. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator capable of interpreting complex technical information and aligning it with policies, while effectively engaging with stakeholders across all levels across the Development piece.

Key Requirements:

Active DV (Developed Vetting) clearance or, at minimum, SC clearance. Demonstrable background employing SAFe methodology Proficiency in NIST frameworks; certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISA, or CISM are highly desirable. Collaborate with User Community, Programme Teams, and Suppliers to ensure seamless delivery and transition of Service Design into both Fixed and Deployed environments. Conduct thorough assurance planning and detailed technical assessments to validate designs as fit for purpose. Oversee the design, assurance, and acceptance of development processes and associated environments. Work closely with the Senior Solution Architect to act as a central point of coordination for all engineering processes. Experience with designing and implementing systems that meet stringent operational requirements.

The initiative will modernize legacy IT systems by transitioning to agile architectures that support the development and hosting of cutting-edge applications and digital services.
