DevOps Engineer
On-Prem Expertise for an Industry-Leading Media Software Company
Are you a DevOps engineer with a passion for infrastructure and a strong foundation with on-premise environments? Do you have the skills to scale platforms used by millions globally, across the fields of sport, fashion, and politics – if so, this could be the role for you! Our client is a media-focused software company delivering world-class platforms used by influencers, creators, and brand ambassadors. Their innovative software powers interactions across multiple digital channels, offering users access to indexed content from sources worldwide.
As they continue to expand, they are looking for a DevOps Engineer or Platform Specialist who will play a pivotal role in leading the transformation and scalability of their infrastructure and site reliability. You'll bring the best of your on-prem expertise and cloud services knowledge to build distributed systems that are reliable, scalable, and high-performing.
What You'll Need:
- Expertise in Python, Linux, Terraform – core tools in building and scaling secure infrastructure.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies to drive efficient development cycles.
- Cloud expertise – ideally some AWS (EC2, CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization and orchestration.
- A solid understanding of horizontal scalability for distributed systems.
- Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for configuration management.
- Proficiency with databases and storage technologies (SQL, MySQL, Redis, ElasticSearch).
What You'll Bring:

- A background in software development is advantageous, but leading DevOps initiatives and driving innovation is your core strength.
- You have experience scripting in Python or Bash and a solid programming foundation in languages like Java, Kotlin, C#, Ruby, Golang, Node.js, or C++.
- You have successfully built highly available systems at scale, managing infrastructure that supports mission-critical applications.

- Lead and grow a dynamic team of engineers, creating and deploying high-calibre solutions that support an international user base.
- Architect and manage infrastructure that supports software accessed globally, with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
