Software Engineer – Platform Applications

Ncounter are supporting a growing investment firm in the search for a Software Engineer to join its Platform Applications team in Warsaw.

This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, data platforms, artificial intelligence, and business-critical applications. You will help design, build, and support the internal systems that underpin monitoring, workflow automation, data integrity, and operational decision making across a sophisticated investment environment.

This is a hands-on engineering position for someone who enjoys solving real business problems through technology, building reliable systems, and working closely with end users.

Responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining Python applications and services
  • Building data pipelines that integrate market, operational, and communication data
  • Designing and delivering internal dashboards and user-facing applications
  • Developing monitoring tools, alerts, and workflow automation
  • Working with AI and LLM technologies to enhance internal processes
  • Building secure and scalable data integrations between business systems
  • Contributing to software design, code reviews, and engineering standards
  • Collaborating closely with technology, operations, legal, and business teams

The ideal background will include:

• Strong Python software engineering experience
  • Experience building APIs, internal platforms, or backend services
  • Exposure to LLMs, AI APIs, or machine learning technologies
  • Frontend or dashboard development experience using React, Angular, or Vue
  • Experience building ETL pipelines and integrating multiple data sources
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Experience working with monitoring platforms, communication technologies, business workflow systems, or regulatory technology would be beneficial.

Exposure to technologies such as Bloomberg Vault, FundApps, Backstop CRM, Front Arena, or similar enterprise platforms would be highly advantageous.

Candidates with experience within investment management, hedge funds, asset management, fintech, or other regulated environments are particularly encouraged to apply. Knowledge of credit markets, fixed income products, or trading workflows would also be valuable.
