Ncounter is supporting a rapidly growing investment management firm in the search for a Reporting Data Engineer to join their expanding Warsaw team. This is an opportunity to work at the heart of a sophisticated credit investment business, helping to build the data foundations that support reporting, analytics, and decision-making across the organisation.

This role is ideal for a Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex data challenges with Python and is passionate about automation, data quality, and scalable engineering. You’ll work closely with investment, risk, and operations stakeholders, transforming business requirements into reliable, high-performance data solutions.

Python sits at the centre of this role. You’ll be developing and optimising data pipelines, automating reporting processes, and building robust frameworks for data validation and reconciliation. Strong hands-on experience with Pandas, NumPy, and Python-based data processing is essential, alongside a genuine interest in improving efficiency through engineering and automation.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and reporting infrastructure
  • Develop ETL processes that integrate data from multiple sources
  • Automate reporting workflows using Python, Pandas, and NumPy
  • Improve data quality, validation, and reconciliation processes
  • Optimise existing data workflows to reduce manual effort
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions
  • Support the ongoing evolution of the firm’s reporting and data architecture

Key requirements:

• Strong commercial Python development experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Pandas and NumPy
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines
  • Solid understanding of data modelling and data engineering principles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working with financial data, asset management, or investment environments would be advantageous
