Python Developer – Financial Services

Ncounter is working with a growing investment management business looking for a Python Developer to join its technology team in Warsaw. This is a broad development position within a highly technical financial environment, offering the opportunity to build new applications, data integrations and internal tooling used across the business.
The core requirement is strong Python development experience combined with a background in financial services. You could come from a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, trading business or financial technology company. The role will suit someone who enjoys solving business problems through technology and wants exposure beyond a narrowly defined development remit.
You’ll work across backend development, data pipelines, system integrations and new internal applications, including building solutions from the ground up. Projects will involve integrating trading and market data, automating workflows and developing tools that bring together information from multiple financial systems.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong commercial Python development experience
- Previous experience within financial services
- Experience building backend applications, APIs, integrations or data pipelines
- Good understanding of software engineering principles and collaborative development
- Frontend experience with React, Angular, Vue or similar would be beneficial, but is not essential
- Exposure to data engineering, ETL or analytics would be useful
- Experience working with LLMs, AI tooling or LLM APIs would be a bonus, rather than a requirement
- Strong communication skills and professional English
There is also scope to work on dashboards, monitoring applications and AI-enabled tooling, making this particularly interesting for developers who want to broaden their experience across software, data and emerging technologies.
