What is the ncounter partnership?

The ncounter partnership has one simple aim: Together with businesses, local churches and ther organisations, we are working to bring good news to every aspect of young people’s lives, using media relevant to popular culture.  In practice this means (i) helping young people to reach their potential in the school and community (ii) giving young people opportunities to explore the Christian faith and (iii) helping to resource churches and other organisations working with young people. 

Through our schools work and arts workshops, we have contact with over 10,000 young people every year, and operate a quality creative arts programme for young people in holidays and evenings.

The schools band - Collective

ncounter supports and helps to resource a full time band, called Collective, to work in secondary schools across Swindon and North Wiltshire.  Collective started work in the area at the beginning of 2006, helping young people to explore positive life choices and values by delivering a creative package of assemblies, lessons and concerts. They use modern music as a tool to get young people's attention and to initiate discussions about the alternatives they face. They also include games and personal experiences in their lessons, to help young people get a better understanding of choices open to them, and to understand the Christian faith and identity.  Evening concerts and events give a chance to explore faith and life issues in a high energy environment.

Stronger together

The ncounter partnership is dedicated to working with a wide network of organisations, businesses and local churches.  As a not-for-profit organisation, we depend on the generosity of people who share our passion to offer young people positive life choices. Our work is funded through donations from a range of sources including the business community, the general public, churches and various grants.  Volunteers from the local community are vital, bringing new perspectives to the work.
