The Base is a dedicated dance studio with attached café facilities specifically designed for young people.
The Base gives young people the chance to enjoy affordable workshops and classes in street dance (hip hop, break dancing etc), music and other dance styles. The premises are only 15 minutes away from Swindon, in the village of Purton Stoke. The Base courses are run by ncounter, which includes in its objectives helping young people to reach their potential. Performing arts are a key component of achieving this objective. We're aiming to;
- provide a safe, high quality environment for young people, where young people are valued and accepted whatever their abilities or social background
- run accessible workshops and classes in street (hip hop, break dance, street) and other dance and music styles which will build confidence and help support young people in making positive life choices.
