Campaign launches with letters to past helpers and supporters
ncounter has launched its "Stand with us" campaign with letters to everyone who has helped or supported the organisation in the past. The campaing, launched with a letter from Director Brian Senior, asks Christians to stand with us as we seek to recruit, train and resource a new band to reach the next generation. But we also know from experience that sharing our faith and the life we live as Christians can have a major impact – it just takes people with a passion for God who are bold, relevant and authentic. And our commitment here at ncounter to resourcing and releasing Christians to deliver high quality music – the background to most young people’s lives – is undiminished. That commitment means we are heard, can share our journey of faith and the life we are living.
"We know that young people today are the most “sold to” generation ever.Bombarded with over 3,000 advertisements every day since birth, they have learned to care most what friends think about everything from clothes to faith. And with less than 40 students who are in a church or fellowship in an average school of 1,000 today, that’s unlikely to include an opinion from friends who are living life as a Christian.
I believe that we can make this happen in a new and exciting way if we work together. That’s why I am writing to ask you to stand with us now. ncounter stands at the edge, ready to recruit, train and resource a new band equipped to share our faith and life with young people across Wiltshire and beyond. We have the experience and the connections to do so credibly and authentically so that, as Collective finish, an exciting new band can be launched this summer.
We can take action which offers new life to tens of thousands of young people who today have no connection with Christians and no contact with churches. Action for life."
Please read the full letter, and stand with us. Together we can make the difference!
