Summer programme of arts
We are offering 2 summer youth workshops (school years 7-11):
Drama workshop
Based on an award winning book ‘The Life of Pi’ ..... Piscine Molitor Patel (Pi ) is a happy boy living in India and growing up surrounded by the animals from his father’s Zoo. He has a family, goes to school and just wants to love God.
So how does he end up in a lifeboat floating in the middle of the ocean with only a zebra, a hyena, an orang-utan, a tiger and his imagination for company!?
This workshop will give young people chance to learn everything from warm-ups to improvisation, music and puppet-making. To be run in Shaw church between 5th - 8th August, 10 am - 1pm daily, with a final performance on Friday 8th. Cost is £5/day or £16 for all 4 workshop sessions.
Combi Workshop
Between August 18th and 20th (inclusive) we are running workshops between 10am and 3pm each day. Based at Shaw
Church in Shaw Centre for easy accessibility, the workshops will include a mix of dance, drama, arts & crafts, games, sports, cafe and more!
Price is £8 per day or £20 for all 3 days.
